My 2017 holiday card, "Stars on Fourth Avenue" is dedicated with appreciation and love to my actor brother-in-law, Charles E. Pendleton, and all the many people who make movies, those wonderful shows that make us think, smile, remember, and sometimes cry.
The main star of this image is our beloved Fourth Avenue theater in the heart of Anchorage, Alaska. Built by Cap Lathrop and opened in 1947, it is a monument of Art Deco opulence at its finest. It has sat locked up in silence for too many years, but there is hope that, with historic site status it will be returned to its original beauty and function someday soon.
My annual Holiday Card for charity is now SOLD OUT (Small and Special Edition Prints still available online)
Twenty-five percent of the sale of this cards was donated to the Friends of the Fourth Avenue Theater to help with the restoration of our beautiful iconic theater here in Anchorage. Sadly, this did not happen.
