2023 Porcelain Holiday Ornament “Merry Mushing”
My design this year celebrates one of Alaska’s most loved critters - the sled dog. My first year in Alaska meant finding an honest-to-gosh husky to help me get over having to leave my beloved aging German shepherd, behind with family in Michigan. Within a couple of weeks, my neighbors found me a darling husky puppy. Krishna, as I called her, was with me for many years. I came to love her wonderful, talkative, diva dog attitude. Naturally, I chose her as a model for this ornament.
